The Fisheries Resource Conservation Council (FRCC) will publish its report "2000/2001Conservation Requirements for Groundfish Stocks in the Gulf of St. Lawrence" on Friday, April 7, 2000.
This report will contain FRCC advice to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans regarding the 2000/2001 fishing season for groundfish stocks in the Gulf of St. Lawrence which begins May 15, 2000.
The Chairman of the FRCC, Mr. Fred Woodman will be available for media calls at (613) 998-0433 following the release.
