The Fisheries Resource Conservation Council (FRCC) will publish its report "2000/2001Conservation Requirements for Georges Bank Groundfish Stocks and 2J3KL cod" on Wednesday, May 24, 2000.
This report will contain FRCC advice to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans regarding the 2000/2001 fishing season for groundfish stocks on Georges Bank (off southwestern Nova Scotia) and northern (2J3KL) cod (off northeastern Newfoundland).
The Chairman of the FRCC, Mr. Fred Woodman will be available for media calls at (613) 998-0433 following the release.
