The Fisheries Resource Conservation Council (FRCC) will hold a press conference to release its report "2000 Conservation Requirements for Groundfish Stocks on the Scotian Shelf and in the Bay of Fundy (4VWX), in Sub-Areas 0, 2 + 3 and Redfish Stocks" at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 18, 2000, in the Hanover Room of the Prince George Hotel, 1725 Market Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
This report will contain FRCC advice to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans regarding the 2000/2001 fishing season for groundfish stocks off Nova Scotia, and off Newfoundland, as well as redfish stocks, including Gulf of St. Lawrence redfish.
The Chairman of the FRCC, Mr. Fred Woodman, will preside, with other members of the Council in attendance.
