The Fisheries Resource Conservation Council (FRCC) has rescheduled the Clarenville public consultation to gather information from stakeholders on groundfish stocks in 3Ps (including cod and Unit 2 redfish). The consultation, originally scheduled for November 18, 2002, in Clarenville, will take place on December 8^th, 2002, at the Lions' Club in Sunnyside, Nfld., at 1:00 p.m.

During this consultation the FRCC will also seek input on the draft Fisheries Resource Conservation Plan (FRCP) for 3Ps cod.

This information will assist the Council in making recommendations on conservation requirements for the coming year to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans.

The FRCC intends to further consult on 2J3KL stocks in the new year, once additional information is provided on the stock status.
